93% of Binawan Graduates Immediately Employed, Ready for Global Careers
A total of 318 graduates were officially inaugurated, with 93 per cent of alumni having secured employment within less than six months and some already pursuing careers in various countries, including Austria, Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. More than 200 of the graduates came from the International Nursing and Professional Nurse programmes.
Farouk Abdullah, Vice Rector for Governance, Resources, and Strategic Partnerships at Binawan University, highlighted the university’s achievements in academics, human resource development, and the strengthening of cooperation with various national and international partners. ‘Universitas Binawan remains committed to providing education that is relevant to the needs of industry and society, so that graduates are well-equipped to face future challenges,’ Farouk stated.
He noted that 67 per cent of graduates achieved Cum Laude honours, and 93 per cent of alumni secured employment within less than six months of graduating, with some already working in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Japan, Austria, and Australia. Farouk also emphasised that graduation is a moment of gratitude as well as a call to service for graduates to contribute to addressing the nation’s and humanity’s challenges.
‘The graduates are expected not only to excel academically, but also to be virtuous, socially aware, steadfast in values, to master science and technology, and to be ready to dedicate their knowledge for the advancement of Indonesia and the benefit of humanity,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Acting Rector of Binawan University, Prof. Henny Suzana Mediani, expressed her appreciation to all graduates for their perseverance and spirit throughout their education. She stressed that graduation is not the finish line, but the beginning of a new journey full of challenges and opportunities. ‘We hope the graduates will become individuals who are adaptive, professional, and continue to learn in facing the increasingly rapid changes in the world,’ said Prof. Henny.
She further encouraged the graduates to continue developing their competencies, maintain integrity, and utilise the knowledge they have gained to benefit society. Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Cris Kuntadi, emphasised the importance of human resource readiness in facing changes in the world of work influenced by technological developments, digitalisation, and global economic dynamics.
