905 Households in Aceh Besar Receive Presidential "Meugang" Meat Assistance

We express our appreciation and thanks to President Prabowo Subianto for the “meugang” cattle assistance to flood-affected communities in Aceh Besar,” said the Regent of Aceh Besar, Muharram Idris, in Aceh Besar on Thursday. He mentioned that the aid, consisting of around 7.8 tons of beef from President Prabowo, was distributed to 905 family heads (KK) spread across 49 villages impacted by the flood disaster. He explained that the slaughtering of the cattle, a traditional “meugang” practice from the nation’s top leader, was carried out at the Lambaro Animal Slaughterhouse (RPH) in Lubok Batee Village, Ingin Jaya Subdistrict. “Alhamdulillah, we extend our thanks to Mr President for this”meugang” cattle assistance. May the distributed meat help and ease the burden on communities struck by calamity,” said Muharram. Muharram also hoped that the aid would strengthen the sense of care and unity between the central and regional governments in assisting those in need. The Head of BPBD Aceh Besar, Ridwan Jamil, added that the aid was channelled to flood-affected communities in 49 villages spread across ten subdistricts in Aceh Besar Regency. Those ten subdistricts are Indrapuri, Seulimeum, Darul Kamal, Blang Bintang, Ingin Jaya, Peukan Bada, Kuta Baro, Darul Imarah, Kuta Malaka, and Krueng Barona Jaya. “The distribution of aid to affected communities was also assisted by the subdistrict heads to facilitate and expedite the process,” he said.
