900 phone lines disrupted

JAKARTA (JP): Nine hundred telephone lines in Pangkalan Jati and Pondok Labu in South Jakarta were disrupted by water flooding the primary cables, an official said yesterday.

An official of South Jakarta PT Telkom (state-owned telecommunication company), Mahatua Sinaga, told Antara that the lines should be fixed by Saturday.

"We estimate that all the repairs will be completed on April 19 and all the lines will work as usual," Mahatua said.

The disrupted lines are on Jl. Jati, Jl. Rangu, Jl. Cemara, Jl. Resak, Jl. Rengas, Jl. Rasamala, Jl H. Rohili -- in Pangkalan Jati, while in Pondok Labu was in Jl. Margasatwa, Jl. Kramat, Jl. Melati and Jl. H. Bedan. (ste)
