90 Merah Putih Village Cooperatives in Kudus Ready for Operation
Ninety Merah Putih Village/Ward Cooperatives (Kopdeskel) in Kudus Regency, Central Java, are ready to be operational now that supporting facilities and infrastructure have been made available.
“At present, the operation of dozens of these cooperatives is merely awaiting the decree (SK) for the appointment of village cooperative managers,” said the Commander of Kodim 0722/Kudus, Lieutenant Colonel Arh Yuusufa Allan Andriasie, in Kudus on Sunday.
He stated that the 90 cooperatives, spread across nine districts, have been equipped with various operational support facilities, ranging from electricity and internet networks, furniture, and shop shelves to cashier computers, point-of-sale systems, CCTV cameras, and transport vehicles.
“All 90 Kopdeskel are ready. Everything from shop shelves, vehicles, CCTV, scanners, and cashier computers to electricity and internet is already in place,” he added.
The prepared Kopdeskel are distributed across the districts of Kota, Gebog, Dawe, Kaliwungu, Jati, Jekulo, Mejobo, Undaan, and Bae.
Yuusufa added that several technical matters still require coordination, including issues regarding parking spaces with PT Agrinas.
Meanwhile, during this preparatory period, village and ward governments have been requested to actively participate in and support the existence of these cooperatives. The management of the cooperatives will subsequently proceed in accordance with the established mechanisms.
