90 Merah Putih Cooperatives in Lamongan Officially Begin Operations
A total of 90 Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (KDK_MP) in Lamongan Regency are now officially operational following the national launch of ,1061 KDKMP by President Prabowo Subianto in Nganjuk, East Java. The inauguration was attended virtually by the Regent of Lamongan, Yuhronur Efendi, who expressed optimism regarding the implementation of the central government’s programme for village cooperative development.
Regent Yuhronur Efendi noted that 214 outlets are ready for operation this year, with another 102 currently under construction. He added that several villages are also preparing land for subsequent cooperative outlets, expressing confidence in the success of these programmes in Lamongan.
Lieutenant Colonel Deni Suryo Anggo, Commander of the 0812 Lamongan Military District, stated that Lamongan Regency has achieved the highest rate of KDKMP outlet construction in East Java. He revealed a target to have 329 cooperative outlets fully completed in the Lamongan area by the end of July. Furthermore, there are plans for a larger-scale launch involving 30,000 cooperatives in August.
Currently, Lamongan leads the province in terms of completed and ready-to-operate KDKMP outlets, with 214 sites reaching 100% completion. Of these, 90 outlets have officially started operations. According to data from the Lamongan Regency Office of Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade, the total number of KDKMP in Lamongan reaches 474, with a construction target of 329 outlets. Of the current progress, 214 outlets are 100% complete, 102 are under construction, and 158 have not yet begun construction. Additionally, 12 villages are still securing land for development, while 20 outlets have been designated as pilot models.
To support operations, each KDKMP currently employs six staff members out of a total requirement of 18. The workforce consists of four employees from PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara and two nominees from the local village government.
