90,000 Vehicles Enter Bandung City During Long Holiday

Traffic volume into Bandung City increased during the Idul Adha long holiday. As of 3pm on Friday, May 29, 2026, approximately 90,000 two- and four-wheeled vehicles entered the city for holiday activities in Bandung Raya. AKBP Hudi Arif, Bandung City Police Traffic Chief, stated that around 60,000 vehicles departed during the same period. ‘Vehicle entries into Bandung City totalled around 90,000, both two- and four-wheeled, while departures reached approximately 60,000,’ Hudi said on Friday (May 29, 2026). According to Hudi, the highest traffic volumes originated from Cileunyi, Cibiru, and Buah Batu Toll Gate. Preliminary calculations show around 30,000 vehicles remain in the city. ‘There are still 30,000 vehicles in Bandung City,’ he added. To manage traffic congestion during the long holiday, Bandung City Police deployed 130 personnel at strategic points, including arterial roads, toll gates, and public activity centres. ‘130 personnel have been deployed to secure traffic flow,’ Hudi said. Traffic monitoring across several road segments indicated increased vehicle volumes. Congestion was observed along Jalan Cikapayang and Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda, key routes to Bandung’s tourist and activity hubs.
