Singapore has once again become the country with the best quality of life in Southeast Asia in 2026. The city-state even managed to break into seventh place globally in the Best Countries for Quality of Life 2026 list released by US News & World Report.

According to Seasia Stats on Thursday (9/7/2026), Singapore far outperforms other countries in the region thanks to better healthcare services, safety levels, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.

In second place in Southeast Asia is Malaysia, which ranks 37th globally. Thailand is in third place in the region and 42nd worldwide.

Meanwhile, the bottom three positions in the region are occupied by Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. These three countries rank 89th, 93rd, and 94th globally, respectively.
