Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Danantara Investment Management (DIM) has selected 85 entities for the Selected Supplier List (DPT) for the waste-to-energy projects (PSEL).

PT Daya Energi Bersih Nusantara (Denera) CEO and DIM Investment Director Fadil Rahman stated that the surge in participants reflects strong business interest and confidence in the PSEL programme. He emphasised the need for credible governance to attract investment in the national waste management sector.

“The increase in local and international participants confirms the PSEL programme’s strong investment appeal and credible governance. We remain committed to ensuring transparent and competitive partner selection processes to deliver integrated waste management solutions and contribute to resolving Indonesia’s waste emergency,” he said in a statement on Friday, 29 May 2026.

The second wave of the DPT saw a significant rise in participants compared to the first wave, which included only 24 entities. The selection process also demonstrated broad global participation, with companies and consortia from Singapore, India, South Korea, China, Japan, and France involved.

The involvement of multinational companies is expected to enrich technology options and financing structures for project development. Domestically, local industry participation remained dominant, with 16 Indonesian companies included in the selected consortium supplier list.

This aligns with the mandate under Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025, which requires the involvement of national industry players in large-scale waste management infrastructure development. The programme will be directly managed by DIM’s subsidiary, PT Daya Energi Bersih Nusantara (Denera).

As a next step, Danantara Investment Management will issue Terms of Reference (ToR) to all selected participants. The company will also provide detailed information on schedules and subsequent technical procedures in separate official notifications.
