Jakarta, VIVA – Indikator Politik Indonesia has released the latest survey results showing that public satisfaction with the organisation of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr mudik is at a very high level. As many as 85.3 percent of travellers stated they were satisfied with this year’s mudik services.

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews from 29 March to 4 April 2026 with 1,200 respondents using multistage random sampling, with a margin of error of 2.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.

Executive Director Burhanuddin Muhtadi explained that overall public satisfaction, both for those who travelled and those who did not, reached 80.8 percent. However, satisfaction levels rose significantly among the traveller group, at 85.3 percent.

“This indicates that the 2026 Eid al-Fitr mudik organisation ran very well and received widespread appreciation from the public,” he stated during the survey results presentation on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

From the survey details, the “very satisfied” category recorded 10.8 percent (general) and 15.3 percent (travellers), while “quite satisfied” dominated with 70.0 percent in both categories. Dissatisfaction levels were relatively low, at 7.1 percent (general) and 9.5 percent (travellers), with those completely dissatisfied below 2 percent.

These results also show consistency in performance compared to the previous year. Public satisfaction in 2026 is nearly identical to 2025, both in the very satisfied and quite satisfied categories.

In response to the results, Korlantas Polri Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho expressed appreciation and gratitude for the high level of public satisfaction. He emphasised that this achievement is the result of hard work and synergy among all stakeholders in organising Operation Ketupat 2026.

“We extend our utmost thanks to all the public, ministries/institutions, TNI, Polri, local governments, and other stakeholders who have collaborated well, ensuring this year’s mudik ran safely, smoothly, and securely,” he said.

Specifically, the Korlantas Chief also conveyed respect and appreciation to Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo for his leadership, guidance, and strategic directions, as well as his direct involvement in the field to ensure optimal mudik security.

“Thank you and the highest appreciation to Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo for his directions, full support, and direct presence in the field, which motivated the entire ranks to provide the best service to the public,” he added.
