Jakarta, Kompas.com - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is preparing departure services for Hajj for 35,285 pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 Hijriah or 2026. The entire process is centralised at Terminal 2F, which functions as an integrated Hajj service centre. Departures are scheduled to take place from 22 April to 21 May 2026. There are a total of 84 flight groups or kloters for the departure phase and the same number for the return. The pilgrims come from three embarkation points, namely Banten, Jakarta-Bekasi, and Jakarta-Pondok Gede. “We have prepared a kloter-based service flow at Terminal 2F and strengthened coordination with all stakeholders. This is done to support an orderly, smooth, and on-time departure process,” said Heru in an official statement on Monday (20/4/2026). Terminal 2F has an area of 27,418 square metres with a capacity of up to 6.1 million passengers per year. Facilities include a waiting room with a capacity of 3,000 people. There is also an integrated service system and a mosque of 3,136 square metres that can accommodate around 800 pilgrims. The Makkah Route service is being operated again. This service allows the Saudi immigration process to be carried out before departure. With this scheme, waiting time upon arrival in Saudi Arabia becomes shorter. As many as 10 counters are prepared to support this service. This arrangement is aimed at maintaining order and comfort during the departure process. “We, together with all stakeholders, are committed to continuously improving the quality of services to support the organisation of a safe, orderly, and comfortable Hajj pilgrimage,” he emphasised.
