81st TNI Anniversary in Cilangkap: Motorists Advised to Avoid Congestion and Seek Alternative Routes

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have urged road users to be wary of potential traffic congestion around the TNI Headquarters area in Cilangkap, East Jakarta. Congestion is expected to occur alongside the ceremony commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap on Monday, 5 October 2026, starting from approximately 06:00 WIB until completion. To anticipate the congestion, the police will implement situational traffic engineering around the area.

“Road users are advised to be aware of potential traffic congestion around the TNI Headquarters area, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Monday, 5 October 2026, from 06:00 WIB until finished. This is in connection with the celebration ceremony for the 81st TNI Anniversary, where traffic engineering will be implemented situationally following field conditions,” wrote the @tmcpoldametro account, as quoted on Monday (5/10/2026).

To avoid vehicle build-ups, the public is suggested to anticipate their travel routes in advance. Drivers are encouraged to adjust their departure times and utilise alternative access routes around the Cilangkap area.

“The public is advised to choose alternative routes, adjust departure times, and obey officer instructions if traffic diversions occur,” the tmcpoldametro statement continued.
