PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) has reinforced its commitment to maintaining safe, orderly, and protected public mobility during the commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday (17/8/2026). Through an agenda titled ‘Kita Indonesia, Bergerak Aman dengan Harapan’ (We Are Indonesia, Moving Safely with Hope), Jasa Raharja has made transport safety a key part of efforts to safeguard national independence.

Jasa Raharja President Director Muhammad Awaluddin stated that independence is not merely freedom of movement, but a guarantee that every journey undertaken by the public takes place safely and under the protection of the state. ‘For Jasa Raharja, safety is our way of safeguarding independence in daily mobility. The state must be present to ensure that the public can move safely, work calmly, study, do business, and return home with hope,’ said Awaluddin after the 81st Indonesian Independence Day ceremony in Jakarta.

Awaluddin explained that up to July 2026, Jasa Raharja had disbursed compensation amounting to Rp1.948 trillion to 91,836 traffic accident victims across Indonesia. To ensure victims’ rights are fulfilled quickly and transparently, Jasa Raharja has established cooperation with 2,857 hospitals throughout the country. ‘The average speed of compensation payments for deceased victims has been reduced to 1 day, 0 hours and 35 minutes, while compensation for injuries is on average settled within 4 days, 11 hours and 9 minutes,’ he explained.

In addition to post-accident handling, Jasa Raharja is also intensifying preventive efforts by realising 4,872 transport safety action plan activities, covering educational campaigns, mapping of accident-prone areas, and safe driving training. The service transformation and governance strengthening measures are also aligned with the directives of the State-Owned Enterprise Management Agency and Danantara Asset Management.

Beyond its focus on basic transport protection services, Jasa Raharja has also demonstrated social awareness by distributing emergency relief to communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Support was sent to the three most affected areas, namely Nagekeo Regency, Manggarai Regency, and East Manggarai Regency. The assistance includes staple food logistics, drinking water, blankets, mats, and emergency lighting, distributed in coordination with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and local governments.

‘The meaning of protection does not stop at the implementation of the company’s primary mandate, but is also reflected in the care and presence alongside the community amid the various conditions they face,’ concluded Awaluddin.
