81.4 Percent of Bandung Residents Optimistic About City's Development Direction, Farhan: Continue with Tangible Work
A regional survey conducted by Kompas Research and Development from 23 February to 3 March 2026, involving 400 respondents, indicates positive assessments of the Bandung City Government’s performance and one year of leadership under Bandung Mayor M Farhan. As many as 81.4 percent are optimistic about the direction of Bandung City’s development, and 65.9 percent claim to be satisfied with the Bandung Mayor’s performance.
In response to the survey, Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan expressed gratitude for the level of public optimism towards the direction of Bandung City’s development reaching over 81 percent. He stated that this trust serves as a mandate to continue working tangibly in a more measured and impactful manner.
“This survey shows that improvements in public services, particularly in the health, education, and population administration sectors, have been felt by the community,” he said through an official statement received on Thursday (16/4/2026).
Going forward, he said efforts will continue to strengthen the economic sector, welfare, and accelerate city infrastructure development to make it more equitable and better. Thus, every policy issued addresses community needs.
The administration will continue to strengthen various sustainable development programmes with a focus on improving the quality of public services, community economy, and transparent and accountable government governance.
