Commission III member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the Golkar faction, Soedeson Tandra, has extended his greetings for the 80th Bhayangkara Day of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). Soedeson expressed his appreciation for Polri’s service to Indonesia. “Thank you for the dedication and service of all Bhayangkara personnel in maintaining security, upholding the law, and serving the community,” Soedeson told reporters on Wednesday (1/7/2026). Soedeson considers this Bhayangkara Day to be an important turning point for Polri to evaluate its performance amidst increasingly complex socio-political dynamics. He reminded that the public places great hope in Polri. “The public holds high expectations that the principle of equality before the law will continue to be upheld without discrimination,” he stressed. Furthermore, he highlighted the resolution of major cases such as the eradication of online gambling, drug trafficking, and cybercrime. In terms of public service, Soedeson praised Polri’s steps in continuously boosting digital transformation to realise a Precise (Predictive, Responsibility, Transparency with Justice) Police force. “In addition to maintaining public order and security, Polri is faced with new challenges in the form of digital technology developments, rampant cybercrime, human trafficking crimes, transnational crime, and the spread of disinformation that has the potential to divide national unity,” he explained. Therefore, he encouraged an increase in human resource capacity, strengthening of professionalism, and close collaboration with all elements of society. He also hopes that Polri will continue to be loved by the public. “With the spirit of ‘80 Years of Serving, Polri for the Community’, I hope the Bhayangkara Corps will always be at the forefront of maintaining security, upholding justice, and become more professional, modern, transparent, and loved by all Indonesian people,” he added.
