80th Bhayangkara Day: Inhil Police Renovate Homes and Drill Wells for Residents

The Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Police carried out a series of social activities for the 80th Bhayangkara Day. Collaborating with a social foundation, the Inhil Police renovated a resident’s house and provided access to clean water. The house targeted for renovation belonged to Sri Yati (62), a resident of Jalan Beringin Jaya RT 002/RW 001, Kuala Lahang Village, Gaung District, Inhil Regency. The renovation was completed on Monday, 29 June 2026. Inhil Police Chief AKBP Farouk Oktora stated that this house renovation initiative is a demonstration of the National Police’s concern and aims to strengthen ties with the community. ‘This house renovation activity is expected to help underprivileged residents obtain a decent and habitable home,’ Farouk said in a statement on Wednesday (1/9/2026). The house has now been handed over and is occupied by the beneficiary. Sri Yati expressed her gratitude for the police’s assistance. ‘Thank you, officers, now I can live safely,’ said Sri Yati. Additionally, to help the community during the dry season, the Inhil Police also constructed a borehole well in Tembilahan District, Inhil Regency. The well is capable of supplying clean water to 300 families. The construction of the 180-metre-deep borehole well has been completed. The well successfully reached a clean water source that can be utilised by the community. ‘The local community is now using the borehole well built by the Indragiri Hilir Police,’ he concluded.
