Sumenep (ANTARA) - As many as 805 out of a total of 1,330 prospective Hajj pilgrims (calhaj) from Sumenep Regency, East Java, fall into the high-risk category, requiring special treatment and supervision from health officials. β€œThe data on these high-risk prospective pilgrims is based on reports we received from medical examinations conducted by health personnel,” said the Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Sumenep Regency Health Office, Population Control, and Family Planning (Dinkes-P2KB), Achmad Syamsuri, in Sumenep on Saturday. He explained that the prospective pilgrims in the high-risk category include those who are elderly and have accompanying illnesses or comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. The Sumenep Health Office has reported this condition to the Hajj pilgrimage organising committee in Sumenep Regency so that they receive special services while performing the Hajj. Meanwhile, the number of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Sumenep Regency confirmed to perform the pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Mecca this Hajj season is 1,330 people. They are grouped into four flight clusters (kloter), namely Kloter 77, 78, 79, and 81. The pilgrims in Kloter 77 number 373 people, Kloter 78 number 376 people, Kloter 79 number 373 people, and Kloter 81 number 208 people.
