804 Educational Facilities Damaged by NTT Earthquake

The building of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Manggarai suffered damage due to the earthquake in the Reo area, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Thursday (20/8/2026). The damage to the school building is part of the earthquake’s impact that has disrupted educational facilities in several areas of NTT. As of Thursday (20/8) morning, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded that 804 educational facilities had been affected by the NTT earthquake. Damage to educational facilities is one of the concerns in post-disaster handling, especially to ensure that teaching and learning activities can resume safely.
