800 Combined Personnel Deployed to Secure Eid Celebrations in Bogor City
BOGOR — Combined personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), National Police (Polri), and Bogor City Government have mobilised approximately 800 personnel to secure the Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH celebrations in Bogor City.
Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Rio Wahyu Anggoro stated that hundreds of personnel have been deployed as part of Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 to ensure the situation remains safe and conducive throughout the exodus and return travel periods for Eid.
“Bogor City Police has 330 personnel, whilst the TNI provides 200 personnel, plus all stakeholders. There is the Health Department, the Civil Police Unit (Satpol PP), the Transportation Department, and others. In total, approximately 800 personnel,” Rio said at Bogor City Police Headquarters on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
Additional personnel come from Bogor City Government units, including the Health Department, the Civil Police Unit (Satpol PP), and the Transportation Department (Dishub).
According to Rio, security measures focus not only on smooth travel during the exodus and return journey, but also on addressing various other potential security threats in Bogor City.
“This includes abandoned homes, the exodus and return travel, natural disasters, and we must reduce traffic accident rates. All agencies are coordinating and collaborating fully for the safety of Bogor City residents,” he said.
Rio also urged residents planning to travel for Eid not to worry about leaving their homes empty. Police will conduct regular patrols to ensure security and public order remain maintained throughout the Eid period.
