8 Fittest Countries in the World, Indonesia Ranks 6th
The World Obesity Federation has released a list of countries with the best fitness levels based on the lowest adult obesity percentages. The research covers high- to middle-income countries with populations exceeding 1 million people.
Citing 2025 data compiled by Seasia Stats, Asia dominates the top positions in maintaining ideal body weight proportions among its citizens.
Japan cemented its position in first place with the lowest adult obesity rate, at just 5.57%. South Korea followed in second place with 7.24%, with China in third at 8.37%.
Indonesia managed to enter the list by ranking sixth. The adult obesity rate in Indonesia was recorded at 11.52%, just below Taiwan and ahead of two European countries, namely Switzerland and Denmark.

The low obesity rates in these countries are influenced by balanced diets, high daily mobility among the population, and awareness of healthy lifestyles.
