The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance reports that as of Tuesday, 24 March 2026, 8.8 million taxpayers (WP) have submitted their Annual Income Tax Notification (SPT) for personal income tax (PPh) for the 2025 tax year. This figure represents approximately 58.09% of the reporting target of 15.27 million.

This achievement shows a slight increase compared to 18 March 2026, or last week, which recorded 8.5 million. “The progress of Annual PPh SPT reporting for the period up to 24 March 2026 (2025 Tax Year) recorded 8,874,904 SPTs,” stated the official DJP release on Wednesday, 25 March 2025.

The total consists of reports from individual employee taxpayers numbering 7,826,341, non-employees 863,272, business entity taxpayers 183,721, and business entities with different fiscal years 1,570. Meanwhile, Coretax DJP account activations have reached 16,723,354.

The deadline for individual taxpayers to report SPT is 31 March, while for business entities it is 30 April. DJP targets 15.27 million reports to be received by the respective deadlines.

The SPT reporting deadline is regulated under Law No. 28 of 2007 on General Provisions and Tax Procedures. Based on this law, if the SPT is not submitted within the specified timeframe, an administrative sanction in the form of a fine of Rp100,000 applies to individual taxpayers and Rp1 million to business entities.

Previously, Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations Inge Diana Rismawanti stated that since it is regulated by law, all taxpayers must comply by reporting on time. “Therefore, ensure that taxpayers submit their SPT according to the specified deadline to avoid sanctions,” she said.
