8.58 Million Annual Tax Returns Reported as of 17 March 2026

JAKARTA — The Directorate General of Taxes has recorded 8,587,456 Annual Income Tax Return Notices for the 2025 tax year submitted as of 17 March 2026. The submissions are dominated by individual employee taxpayers. “Of the total reports, 7,594,410 SPTs come from individual employee taxpayers and 813,247 SPTs from individual non-employee taxpayers,” stated Director of Outreach, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, in an official statement on Wednesday (18/3/2026). For taxpayers with different fiscal years, 1,500 corporate SPTs were recorded in rupiah. A total of 21 corporate SPTs were reported in US dollars. The DJP also noted an increase in Coretax account activations. The number of taxpayers who have activated their accounts reaches 16,592,948. The breakdown consists of 15,548,223 individual taxpayers. A total of 954,093 corporate taxpayers have activated accounts. Then, 90,406 government agency taxpayers and 226 digital economy taxpayers.
