The Metro Jaya Regional Police have prepared security personnel to ensure the smooth running of the Annual and Joint Session 2026 at the DPR/MPR RI Building in Senayan, Central Jakarta. A total of 8,095 personnel have been placed on standby, including to provide services and security for a number of public actions and activities taking place at several locations.

Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the deployment of personnel is tailored to the characteristics of the activities, potential vulnerabilities, and security requirements at each location.

"Metro Jaya Regional Police have prepared personnel to provide services and security. All personnel are directed to prioritise a persuasive and humanist approach so that public activities can proceed safely and orderly," said Senior Commissioner Budi in his statement on Friday (14/8/2026).

Specifically for securing activities in the Senayan area, 8,095 joint personnel have been prepared. This force consists of 800 personnel from National Police Headquarters, 4,230 personnel from Metro Jaya Regional Police, 1,163 personnel from resort police forces, 1,850 Indonesian National Armed Forces personnel, and 52 personnel from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, including Civil Service Police Unit, Transportation Agency, Health Agency, and fire brigade.

The security personnel are also accommodating services for a number of public activities, including those taking place in the Senayan area, RI Fest in Gambir, the National Scout Jamboree in East Jakarta, as well as several public demonstrations.

Budi Hermanto explained that security is being implemented in layers, prioritising pre-emptive and preventive measures. Law enforcement will be carried out if necessary, according to the situation faced and based on applicable regulations. Personnel involved in the security operation have also been directed not to carry firearms.

Meanwhile, traffic management and engineering will be applied situationally, taking into account the development of vehicle flow. Traffic diversion will only be implemented if necessary to maintain public mobility.

"We urge members of the public who will be active around Senayan, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Palmerah, and the DPR/MPR RI area to factor in travel time and follow the directions of officers if there is an increase in congestion," he added.
