78 SPPG in Solo Raya Suspected of Violating BGN's Technical Guidelines
Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) has identified a number of violations of the technical guidelines (juknis) in the operation of Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) in the Solo Raya area. From data collection and monitoring, 78 SPPG were recorded as suspected not operating in accordance with the established juknis.
The data collection noted several aspects not aligned with the standards: SPPG construction not following juknis provisions; absence of dedicated rooms for the Head of SPPG (KaSPPG), Nutrition Supervisors, and Financial Supervisors; and a dominant role of partners in managing kitchen operations.
Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik S. Deyang, said the findings are a serious concern for the agency as it ensures programme implementation adheres to established standards. “BGN has found violations of the juknis in SPPG operations in Solo Raya. These findings will provide important input for evaluation so that all programme implementers comply with the standards,” Nanik said in Jakarta on Sunday (8/3).
According to Nanik, compliance with the juknis is crucial in maintaining the quality of governance of the nutrition-diet kitchen programme, including facilities and the supervision system that supports day-to-day operations. “Every SPPG must meet the facility standards set out in the juknis. The availability of space for KaSPPG, Nutrition Supervisors, and Financial Supervisors is an essential part of the supervision system to ensure orderly and accountable operations,” she explained.
BGN also highlighted a pattern of partnerships that in some cases was considered overly dominant in kitchen operations. According to Nanik, partner involvement may continue as long as it complies with the rules and does not take over roles that should be carried out by the official SPPG structure. “Partners’ roles must remain within the bounds of the rules. The main management of SPPG must stay within the established structure so that programme oversight and accountability are maintained,” Nanik emphasised.
The data will form the basis for BGN to conduct evaluations and provide guidance to SPPG in the Solo Raya area, so that MBG programme implementation can operate in line with the standards and deliver optimum benefits to the community. (H-2)
