78.7 Percent of Public Satisfied with Prabowo-Gibran Performance

Laboratorium Suara Indonesia (LSI) has released a national survey on the performance of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka ahead of their two-year leadership mark. The survey results show public trust in the Prabowo-Gibran administration reached 78.7 percent. Meanwhile, 18.2 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, and 3.1 percent did not answer or gave no opinion.

“As many as 78.7 percent of the Indonesian public trust the Prabowo-Gibran administration. This serves as political capital ahead of their two-year leadership, so that the positive public perception can be maintained by the government,” said LSI Executive Director Muhammad Riyad on Thursday (6/8).

Riyad added that amid global tensions and uncertainty affecting various sectors, especially the economy, the government still enjoys a high level of public satisfaction. A total of 78.3 percent of respondents assessed that the government is able to maintain economic stability. Meanwhile, 17.9 percent of respondents said they did not trust the Prabowo-Gibran administration, and 3.8 percent answered they did not know or gave no answer.

“Approaching 80 percent, the level of public satisfaction and trust achieved by Prabowo-Gibran during nearly two years of leadership, in this survey, is partly due to the government’s ability to maintain economic stability amid global issues and geopolitical dynamics that create uncertainty in almost all sectors,” Riyad said.

Quantitatively, Riyad said, the level of public satisfaction with the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s performance is also reflected in public assessments of the handling of various national issues.

“As many as 77.8 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance in maintaining interfaith harmony. Meanwhile, 19.4 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, and 2.8 percent gave no answer,” he said.

In the security aspect, 90.9 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance. Conversely, 7.3 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, while 1.8 percent gave no answer. “As for maintaining national unity and integrity, 89.4 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s performance. Meanwhile, 8.3 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, and 2.3 percent gave no answer,” he explained.

The survey also measured public satisfaction with a number of state institutions and democratic institutions. The results showed 77.6 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). Satisfaction with the President and Vice President as a presidential institution reached 78.1 percent.

“Among law enforcement institutions, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received a public satisfaction rate of 72.9 percent, followed by the National Police at 73.1 percent, and the Attorney General’s Office at 68.2 percent,” Riyad explained.

The Laboratorium Suara Indonesia (LSI) survey was conducted among Indonesian citizens aged at least 17 years. Data collection was carried out through face-to-face interviews on 21–28 July 2026 involving 1,668 respondents. The respondent composition consisted of 52.1 percent male and 47.9 percent female.

The survey used a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of ±2.4 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. The survey covered 38 provinces in Indonesia proportionally based on the 2024 Permanent Voter List (DPT) data. Data collection was carried out by trained interviewers through face-to-face interviews using a digital application with randomly selected respondents. “Each interviewer interviewed 10 respondents in each village or sub-district that served as the survey location,” he concluded.
