775 Police Cadets Begin SPKT Training at Metro Jaya Police SPN
A total of 775 trainees of the 2026 fiscal year Indonesian National Police Non-Commissioned Officer Formation Training with Integrated Police Service Centre (SPKT) skills have officially begun their education at the Metro Jaya Regional Police Training School (SPN) in Cigombong, Bogor. The opening ceremony was led by Metro Jaya Deputy Chief of Police, Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono.
Brigadier General Dekananto served as ceremony inspector on Monday (20 July 2026) at the Metro Jaya Regional Police Training School in Cigombong, Bogor. The event was also attended by the Principal Officials (PJU) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police.
The trainees, drawn from 34 regional police forces across Indonesia, will undergo five months of training. On that occasion, Brigadier General Dekananto read out a message from the National Police Education and Training Commander, Police Commissioner General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak.
“The next five months will be no easy period. You will transform from civilians into Bhayangkara personnel through a packed educational schedule, exhausting drills, strict disciplinary demands, and various physical, mental, and police knowledge tests,” said Brigadier General Dekananto in his statement on Monday (20 July).
He asked the trainees to adapt quickly to life at the training institution, to obey all the rules, respect their instructors and mentors, and build solidarity and a spirit of togetherness.
In addition, the trainees were reminded to abandon individualistic attitudes and never give up easily, as well as to treat every challenge as a process of building resilience.
“Do not merely strive to be a trainee who simply passes, but become a graduate who is truly ready to serve the community and can be relied upon by the organisation,” he said.
The National Police Education and Training Commander also entrusted the conduct of the training to all Regional Police Chiefs, training school heads, teaching staff, instructors, and mentors. This is to ensure it is carried out professionally using an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, oriented towards achieving graduate competencies.
“Avoid all forms of violence, bullying, or actions that degrade human dignity. Tough training does not have to be harsh, and heavy drills must not strip away dignity. Firmness must build character, not breed resentment,” he stressed.
The Education and Training Commander also asked all instructors to set an example for the trainees, whether in attitude, speech, discipline, or integrity.
“Trainees learn not only from the material taught, but also from the behaviour of the instructors they see every day,” he said.
“Through these five months of training, it is hoped that Police NCOs with SPKT skills will emerge who are professional, have integrity, are humane, and are ready to provide the best service to the community in line with the spirit of Precision Policing,” he concluded.
It was also noted that the 2026 fiscal year National Police Non-Commissioned Officer Formation Training is being followed nationally by 4,799 trainees, comprising 4,090 students at 31 regional police training schools and 709 female students undergoing training at the Police Women’s Academy (Sepolwan).
