775 Police Cadets Begin SPKT Training at Metro Jaya Police School

The opening ceremony for the 2026 Fiscal Year Police Non-Commissioned Officer Formation Training for Integrated Police Service Centre capability was led by Metro Jaya Police Deputy Chief Brigadier General Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono on Monday. The event was also attended by key officials from the Metro Jaya Police. “The students, who hail from 34 regional police forces across Indonesia, will undergo a five-month training period,” said Brigadier General Pol Dekananto while reading the mandate from the National Police Education and Training Institute Commander, Commissioner General Pol RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, in Bogor. In his written mandate, the Commander stated that nationally, the 2026 Police NCO Formation Training is being attended by 4,799 participants. This number comprises 4,090 male students across 31 Police State Schools and 709 female students undergoing training at the Policewomen’s School. He reminded the trainees that the next five months represent a crucial phase for transforming from civilians into resilient Bhayangkara officers. “You will undergo a process to become Bhayangkara officers through a packed educational schedule, exhausting drills, strict disciplinary demands, and various physical, mental, and police knowledge examinations,” he said. “Do not merely strive to be a trainee who just passes, but become a graduate who is truly ready to serve the community and can be relied upon by the organisation,” he stressed. The Commander also entrusted the implementation of this education to all regional police chiefs, Police State School heads, educators, instructors, and supervisors to be carried out professionally through an Outcome-Based Education curriculum. Dekananto firmly instructed that the entire educational process be cleansed of all forms of violence and bullying. “Avoid all forms of violence, bullying, or degrading actions. Tough education does not have to be harsh, heavy training must not strip away dignity. Firmness must build character, not foster resentment,” the mandate read. He also asked the teaching staff to become living role models for the trainees in attitude, speech, discipline, and integrity. Through this training programme, the National Police aims to produce NCOs with SPKT capability who are professional, have integrity, are humane, and are ready to provide excellent service to the public in line with the spirit of Precision Police.
