75 Teachers in Central Jakarta Attend Functional Position Development Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) — Seventy-five teachers from primary to senior secondary schools attended a programme on the development of functional positions organised by the Central Jakarta Administrative City Civil Service Sub-agency in Jakarta on Thursday.
Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin said the programme aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of policies and procedures concerning functional positions, so they could be applied in accordance with the regulations in force.
“Educators—in this case, teachers—need to focus on improving their competence and upholding professionalism in their day-to-day duties,” Arifin said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
He also hoped participants would share the knowledge they had gained with colleagues at their respective schools, enabling improvements in teachers’ competence and professionalism to be spread more evenly.
“Thank you to the speakers who have taken the time to support efforts to improve teachers’ understanding, particularly in Central Jakarta Administrative City,” Arifin said.
Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Civil Service Sub-agency Head Heri Dianto said the 75 participants came from primary, junior secondary and senior secondary schools under Central Jakarta Education Sub-agencies I and II.
Heri said that after the opening, participants took part in a series of activities, including discussions to deepen their understanding of teachers’ functional positions.
“After the opening, participants took part in a series of events that included discussions,” Heri said.
