75.1% of the Public Satisfied with Polri's Performance in Eradicating Online Gambling to Human Trafficking, According to IDM Survey
An IDM survey using multistage random sampling collected data from 7-20 April 2026. The survey was conducted among 1,580 selected respondents in 34 provinces across Indonesia. All respondents were aged between 17 and 65 years, consisting of men and women selected randomly to represent the national population. The survey method was face-to-face. The margin of error for this survey is ±2.47%.
IDM Executive Director Dedi Rohman stated that 75.1% of respondents are satisfied with Polri’s performance in eradicating gambling, human trafficking, drugs, economic crimes, hoarding of fuel and food.
“Regarding law enforcement by Polri, 75.1 percent of respondents are also satisfied with Polri’s performance, including in the eradication of gambling, human trafficking, drugs, economic crimes, hoarding of fuel and food, etc.,” said Dedi, quoted on Friday (8/5/2026).
Meanwhile, he said, 20.7% of the public are dissatisfied with Polri’s performance and 4.2% did not respond.

Polri Cyber Division
- Bust 21 Online Gambling Sites
In early January 2026, the Cyber Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri) uncovered a case of illegal access and money laundering originating from online gambling practices. Five people were named as suspects.
- Uncover Fake E-Ticket Scam Case
On 25 February, Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri uncovered a case of SMS blast phishing masquerading as the official e-ticket site. The scam syndicate was controlled by two Chinese nationals.
This case came to light following a report from the Attorney General’s Office in December 2025 regarding the circulation of several fake links impersonating government institutions. The police then moved to follow up on the case.
The revelation of this case was previously conveyed by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo during a working meeting at Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (26/1).
- Hand Over Rp 58.1 Billion from Online Gambling Case
In March, Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri handed over Rp 58.1 billion related to a money laundering case from online gambling for execution by prosecutors. The money was handed over because the case had attained final legal force (inkrah).
- Uncover Phishing Tools Case with Rp 350 Billion Loss
Not stopping there, in April this year, Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri dismantled a network providing cyber fraud software or phishing tools operating across countries, based in Kupang. It turned out that the fraud was carried out by a couple, namely man GWL (24) and woman FYT (25).
This illegal practice caused losses of USD 20 million or approximately Rp 350 billion.
General Criminal Division
- Investigate Shooting Case in Solok
The General Criminal Directorate of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Ditreskrimum) in Subdirectorate I for State Security (Kamneg), Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri, demonstrated a commitment to professional and impartial law enforcement through the handling of the shooting case against Solok Selatan Police Resort Criminal Investigation Chief AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshar in West Sumatra.
In that case, investigators moved quickly to handle the legal proceedings against the suspect, who is an active Polri member. The Polri institution enforces the law objectively, transparently, and without tolerance for legal violations, including those committed by its own apparatus.
- Save Land Assets Worth Rp 10.6 Trillion
Meanwhile, Subdirectorate II Harda Bangtah saved significant state assets through the uncovering of various land mafia cases and unlawful seizure of state assets. One of them is the salvation of TNI-owned land assets in Jatikarya worth approximately Rp 10.6 trillion.
- Escort Law Enforcement at Hotel Sultan
In addition, Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri also successfully escorted law enforcement related to the seizure of state assets in the Hotel Sultan Jakarta area, which is above the state asset area of Gelora Bung Karno with an estimated asset value of more than Rp 100 trillion.
- Sea Fence Case in Kohod Village, Banten
Subdirectorate II also uncovered the sea fence case in Kohod Village, Tangerang Regency, Banten, which attracted public attention. In that case, investigators found allegations of using fake documents for the application and issuance of land rights certificates over sea areas that, by regulation, cannot be certified.
The investigation was conducted through searches, seizures of land deeds, forensic laboratory examinations, as well as analysis of electronic devices and documents used in the certificate issuance process.
- Way Kanan Chicken Fighting Gambling Case
In Subdirectorate III Jatanras, Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri continues to strengthen the eradication of conventional and online gambling that disturbs the public. In addition to taking action against cross-regional online gambling networks, Subdit III also provided assistance and supervision for the uncovering of the chicken fighting gambling case in Way Kanan, Lampung, which became a national concern.
PPA/PPO Directorate
- Baby Trafficking to Child Abuse Cases
The Criminal Investigation Directorate for Women and Children and Human Trafficking (Dittipid PPA and PPO) successfully uncovered baby trafficking cases and saved 10 babies. It also handled a child abuse case committed by the biological mother that attracted public attention.
- Human Smuggling Case
Dittipid PPA and PPO also uncovered a human smuggling case through Indonesian waters involving 39 victims from Bangladesh, and a human trafficking case using the mail-order bride modus involving Chinese nationals.
- Rise and Speak Programme
Dittipid PPA and PPO also successfully implemented the ‘Rise and Speak’ programme as an effort to prevent and educate the public. The aim is for the public to be more courageous in speaking out, reporting, and caring about violence against women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
