Banjarbaru (ANTARA) - A total of 71,493 mudik travellers have passed through Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, up to H-2 Lebaran on Thursday. “These travellers were transported by 665 flights, both departing and arriving from various airports in Indonesia,” said Branch Communication & CSR Department Head of Syamsudin Noor International Airport Ahmad Zulfian Noor in Banjarbaru on Thursday. Specifically, on this day, there were 9,582 air passengers with 99 flights. The peak mudik flow occurred on Wednesday (18/3) with 12,258 passengers transported from 104 flights. During this mudik season, Syamsudin Noor International Airport has served 37 additional flights, with an average of eight extra flights per day. Zulfian revealed that the number of mudik travellers this year has increased compared to last year. However, the exact growth data is still being calculated once the mudik period ends after entering Lebaran. In an effort to provide optimal service to mudik travellers, Syamsudin Noor International Airport has established an Integrated Air Transport Post for the Lebaran Period for 18 days from 13 to 30 March 2026.
