A total of 7,643 joint personnel have been deployed to secure the National Dhikr and Prayer event held in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta. The event is estimated to be attended by around 100,000 participants from various regions.

The Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono, has instructed all personnel to carry out their duties professionally, humanely, and with high vigilance. This is to ensure that the entire series of activities proceeds safely, orderly, and smoothly.

“Execute security professionally, humanely, and with full alertness. Prioritise patience in serving the public, remain calm in action, and maintain communication and coordination until the entire series of activities is declared complete,” said Dekananto during his briefing to personnel on Saturday (1/8/2026).

The joint security force consists of 3,675 personnel from the Metro Jaya Regional Police, 1,143 personnel from local police precincts, 500 personnel from the National Police Brimob Corps, 200 personnel from the National Police Sabhara Corps, 1,845 TNI (National Armed Forces) personnel, 145 Satpol PP (Municipal Police) personnel, and 135 personnel from the Department of Transportation, including towing vehicle officers.

He stated that security measures are being implemented through pre-emptive and preventive steps, including early detection and site sterilisation by Bomb Disposal (Jibom) and K9 teams. Security will be conducted through both open and undercover operations, patrols, traffic management, and the readiness of health posts, ambulances, and evacuation routes in every sector.

“Prevent overcrowding by managing the arrival of participants in an orderly manner. Every bus must be directed to the JIExpo Kemayoran parking area to ensure participant mobility remains smooth,” he added.

For participants, access is available through the North-East, South-East, and South-West gates. A total of 22 parking areas with a capacity for approximately 1,450 buses, 3,680 cars, and 50 motorcycles have been prepared to support participant mobility.

“Participants are urged to use the designated entry points and parking areas according to their purpose and to follow the instructions of officers on the ground. Members of the public without specific business in the Monas area are advised to use alternative routes or utilise public transport to avoid traffic congestion,” he concluded.
