68 East Jakarta Civil Servants Work from Home, Attendance and Employee Reports Monitored via System
The East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) ensures that supervision of civil servants (ASN) continues even as some employees work from home (WFH) every Friday. Supervision is carried out through the personnel system to maintain performance and discipline. East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin stated that the supervision mechanism has been structured, from attendance to performance reporting for ASN working from home. Munjirin added that this supervision is conducted to keep ASN performance and discipline monitored even when not working from the office. He also emphasised that not all ASN can implement WFH. Several regional work units (UKPD) that provide direct services to the public continue to operate normally. “Those not allowed to WFH include Puskesmas, Damkar (Fire Department), and the sub-district offices themselves, which provide continuous services to residents in need,” Munjirin said. In the East Jakarta City Government environment, Munjirin said, there are 68 ASN implementing WFH. Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung established new guidelines for WFH implementation for ASN every Friday. The regulation is contained in the Governor’s Circular Letter (SE) Number 3/SE/2026, signed on 6 April 2026. In the SE, WFH is implemented every Friday with a proportion of employees between 25 percent and 50 percent in each work unit. Its application is carried out selectively, adjusted to the type of work and service needs. “So for each regional apparatus organisation (OPD), the range is between 25 to 50 percent who work from home,” Pramono explained.
