674 Prospective Managers of 'Red and White Village Cooperatives' Undergo Military-Style Basic Training

A total of 674 prospective managers for the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (Red and White Village Cooperative) are undergoing a military-style basic training programme (Latsarmil) at the Marine Infantry Brigade 1 headquarters in Cilandak, Jakarta. The participants, who are part of the Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI) programme, were seen chanting yells and practising compass navigation during the session on Thursday. The training is designed to build the character traits of integrity, loyalty, discipline, cohesiveness, and empathy required to carry out their duties as cooperative managers.
