The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta), through the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil), has recorded hundreds of new arrivals entering the capital following the Lebaran homecoming in 2026.

Disdukcapil Head Denny Wahyu Haryanto stated that the number of arrivals recorded over three days, from Wednesday (25/3/2026) to Friday (27/3/2026), reached 663 people.

“The results of today’s services on the 30th will be updated tomorrow morning,” Denny said when contacted on Monday (30/3/2026).

Of the total recorded arrivals, 326 are males and 307 females.

Denny added that new arrival reporting services have been opened at all Disdukcapil service points, from sub-district offices to districts and villages, since 25 March 2026.

To accelerate data collection, Disdukcapil will also take a proactive approach by collaborating with city/district governments, sub-districts, and villages.

The activities will involve outreach and guidance on population administration at the neighbourhood level (RW), scheduled from 1 to 20 April 2026.

According to him, these activities are not a legal enforcement operation, but rather a form of facilitation for arrivals to report their presence.

“This is not a legal enforcement operation, but guidance to ensure arrivals comply with administration and are officially recorded,” he explained.

The Jakarta Provincial Government urges all new arrivals to report promptly so that population data remains accurate and public services can operate optimally.
