Cilodong, Republik Indonesia — General Agus Subiyanto, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), acted as Inspector of the ceremony in the 65th anniversary of the Komando Cadangan Strategis Angkatan Darat (Kostrad), held at the Infantry Division Headquarters 1 Kostrad (Madivif 1 Kostrad), Cilodong, West Java, on Friday, 6 March 2026.

The TNI Commander was accompanied by Kostrad Commander Lieutenant General Mohammad Fadjar. Also present were Deputy Commander of the TNI General Tandyo Budi Revita, Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Air Force Chief of Staff Air Marshal Tonny Harjono, and Kostrad veterans from across generations.

Under the theme ‘Kostrad Prima Untuk Indonesia Maju’, the 65th anniversary reaffirms Kostrad’s commitment as a PRIMA force — Professional, Responsive, Integrative, Modern, and Adaptive — in serving the nation. With this spirit, Kostrad is ready to be a strategic strength of the Indonesian Army that safeguards sovereignty and supports the realisation of Indonesia Maju.

General Agus Subiyanto extended birthday greetings to all Kostrad soldiers and their families, praising the dedication and service of Kostrad personnel in defending sovereignty and the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.

He also emphasised that Kostrad units must continue to enhance readiness and combat capability in facing the dynamics of global conflicts and the increasingly complex threats of hybrid warfare. He warned that rivalry among major world powers has the potential to trigger conflicts that affect security stability, so Kostrad soldiers must always be prepared, adaptable, and professional in meeting every challenge.

For the 65th anniversary, Kostrad soldiers wore the latest Kostrad Service Dress (PDL) featuring a Laurel leaf pattern, symbolising honour, resilience, victory, and achievement. This symbol marks a new spirit to raise professionalism and strengthen synergy with all components of the nation in support of national development.

Since its establishment in 1961, Kostrad has been a strategic striking force of the Indonesian Army that has played an important role in various Military Operations (OMP) and Non-Battle Military Operations (OMSP). In every task, Kostrad protects the integrity of NKRI, national stability, and assists the public in emergencies and disasters.

During the ceremony, Brigadier General Ahmad Fikri Musmar, then Commander of Infantry Division 1 Kostrad, acted as Ceremony Commander. Major General Primadi Saiful Sulun served as Defile Commander. Brigadier General Wilson Napitupulu, as Aspers Kaskostrad, acted as Parade Officer, and the Sapta Marga oath was led by Colonel Rudianto, Waaslog of Kostrad.

The ceremony was attended by 1,500 Kostrad soldiers across five battalion-sized units (SSY). The atmosphere grew livelier with demonstrations of Kostrad soldiers’ discipline, cohesion, and combat readiness, including Rampak Bedug, Toya, Double Stick, Military Pencak Silat, breaking dragon iron and hollow blocks, and a troop march-past.

The series of events continued with a joint prayer and lecture by Ustaz Adi Hidayat, followed by cutting the tumpeng by the TNI Commander. The slice of tumpeng was handed to wounded soldiers, Pratu Mohammad Khoirun Nazil of Yonif 502/Ujwala Yudha and Pratu Megan Saputra of Yonif 431/SSP, who are part of the Rajawali 2 Task Force in Papua.

As a form of social concern, donations were also given to 400 orphans, followed by breaking of fast together, adding to the sense of togetherness and gratitude within the Kostrad family.
