65,530 Vehicles Use MBZ Toll Road on Second Day After Eid al-Adha 2026
PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 65,530 vehicles using the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) toll road in both directions on the second day after Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, which fell on Friday, 28 May 2026, indicating continued elevated traffic volumes. ‘Traffic volumes remained high on the second day after Eid al-Adha, with a 15.17% increase compared to the normal volume of 55,237 vehicles,’ said PT JJC Managing Director Hendri Taufik in Bekasi on Saturday. He explained that of the total traffic volume during the period, 29,757 vehicles were recorded moving from Cikampek towards Jakarta, while 35,773 vehicles travelled in the opposite direction. ‘Vehicle departures from Jakarta also remained relatively high, with a 15% surge compared to the normal volume of 31,060 vehicles,’ he added. Hendri urged all road users on the MBZ toll road to prioritise safety by ensuring drivers and vehicles are in optimal condition. ‘Ensure sufficient electricity or fuel, and always adhere to traffic signs and officer instructions,’ he added.
