62 Free Nutritious Meal Kitchens in Tangerang Closed Due to Lack of Food Service Permits

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has implemented a temporary closure of 62 Nutrition Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG) under the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme operating in the Tangerang Regency, Banten.

“There are approximately 62 SPPGs that are currently temporarily closed because they do not possess or have not processed SLHS permits,” said the BGN Coordinator for Tangerang Regency, Hijru Falahani, in Tangerang on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

He stated that out of a total of 378 SPPGs in the Tangerang Regency area, 62 MBG kitchens have been suspended. This operational halt has been in effect since Monday, 7 September 2026.

He also revealed that SPPG managers or administrators may resume operations if they can provide evidence of valid SLHS processing that has been verified by the Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision.

“If they can show proof of valid SLHS processing, they will certainly be permitted to resume operations or have their sanctions revoked,” he explained.

Falahani emphasised that the BGN will permanently close the 62 SPPGs if they still lack SLHS permits 20 days after the initial temporary closure.

“The deadline, based on central instructions, is 20 working calendar days. If it exceeds that, the SPPGs will be permanently closed,” he said.

His office also urged owners and managers of SPPGs in Tangerang Regency to immediately process the issuance of SLHS through the local Health Office.

“Therefore, if they wish to become active again, they must immediately arrange the SLHS before the specified deadline expires,” he added.
