62,527 vehicles pass through Cikampek Toll Gate towards Jakarta on Wednesday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded 62,527 vehicles passing through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate (Cikatama) in Karawang, West Java, throughout Wednesday (25/3) heading towards Jakarta during the Lebaran 2026 return flow period. Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Legal at PT Jasa Marga Trans Jawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paalo, stated that around 23,000 vehicles passed through the Cikatama gate towards Jakarta in the first shift on Wednesday (25/3), indicating a continued surge in return traffic volume. Previously, on Tuesday (24/3), 106,000 vehicles had already passed through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate towards Jakarta. “Our monitoring shows that traffic on the Palimanan-Kanci section is still quite high. We are continuously monitoring because traffic engineering is carried out situationally,” said Ria when met by ANTARA at the Jasamarga office, Cikatama Toll Gate, on Wednesday (25/3) evening. Ria added that since 20:52 WIB, JTT has also stopped contraflow from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section, following police discretion. Furthermore, Ria stated that JTT will continue to monitor the Lebaran return traffic volume until Sunday (29/3), when that date is projected as the peak of the return flow. “Our projection for the 29th is 91,000 vehicles, our initial projection passing through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate. Traffic engineering, as well as opening and closing rest areas, is one of the things we continue to discuss with the police during its implementation,” she said.
