6,000 kiosks unused
JAKARTA (JP): At least 6,000 kiosks in markets managed by the city-owned market company PD Pasar Jaya are unused. The Deputy Governor T.B. M. Rais has asked the company's management to address the problem.
Rais said the market buildings were expensive to construct. "The kiosks must not be left empty," he was quoted by Antara as saying yesterday.
The market company currently manages 91,000 kiosks spread over markets in all five mayoralties. (sur)
