The Directorate of Teacher Professional Education (PPG) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has officially summoned 60,896 teachers to participate in the Professional Teacher Education (PPG) for Certain Teachers Phase 2 of 2026 as a measure to accelerate teacher certification.

Director of PPG Ferry Maulana Putra stated that teachers can check the SIMPKB application to see their summoning status and follow the stages according to the established schedule. He explained that the summoned prospective participants are teachers who have met the administrative requirements. They come from all over Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua, and even from Indonesian educational units abroad.

“The summoning of prospective PPG participants for Certain Teachers Phase 2 is the government’s commitment to accelerating the completion of teacher certification in Indonesia. We urge the summoned teachers to immediately confirm their availability in their respective SIMPKB accounts,” said Ferry.

He further explained that the stages of the PPG for Certain Teachers Phase 2 begin with confirmation of availability from 22 to 28 June 2026. After that, participants will undergo a self-reporting process from 1 to 4 July 2026 and orientation on 8 July 2026. Subsequently, teachers can participate in independent learning through the Ruang GTK platform from 8 July to 12 August 2026, before taking the PPG Participant Competency Exam (UKPPPG).

He added that teachers who are later declared to have passed the series of PPG stages for Certain Teachers will obtain an educator certificate. This certificate is a form of recognition of teacher professionalism and a requirement for obtaining professional allowances in accordance with applicable regulations. This programme also serves as evidence that the state continues to strive to deliver justice for teachers who have not yet obtained an educator certificate.

The ministry also invites local governments, education offices, and all stakeholders to assist participants during the PPG process. This assistance is important so that all stages can run smoothly and more teachers can successfully complete the programme and obtain an educator certificate.
