6 Officials Appointed by Prabowo in Fifth Reshuffle
President Prabowo Subianto has once again reshuffled the Merah Putih Cabinet. This appointment marks the fifth reshuffle conducted by Prabowo since assuming the role of President of the Republic of Indonesia on 20 October 2024.
He appointed six officials within ministries and agencies. The inauguration took place at the Istana Negara in Jakarta on Monday (27/4).
First, Prabowo appointed M. Qodari as Head of the Government Communication Agency. Qodari replaces Angga Raka Prabowo in that position.
Before being appointed as Head of Bakom, Qodari served as Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP).
This appointment as Head of Bakom marks the third position held by Qodari since Prabowo became President of the Republic of Indonesia on 20 October 2024.
Prior to becoming Head of KSP, Qodari was Deputy Head of KSP, assisting A. M. Putranto as Head of KSP at that time.
Meanwhile, the position of Head of KSP vacated by Qodari is now filled by retired Army Chief of Staff General Dudung Abdurachman.
Currently, Dudung also concurrently holds the position of Special Presidential Advisor for National Defence.
“Still concurrent, but there will definitely be a replacement soon,” said Dudung after the inauguration.
After the inauguration, speaking to the media, Dudung promised that the KSP under his coordination would be open around the clock to serve public reports.
“As KSP, of course, I serve as a bridge between the public and the government. So, any complaints will be open 24 hours for reports from the public,” he said.
With Dudung’s appointment as Head of KSP, he becomes the third retired general to hold that position.
In addition to Dudung, the Head of KSP has previously been held by military figures. During the era of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the position was filled by Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and also briefly by Moeldoko.
Subsequently, in the Prabowo era, the position was held by A. M. Putranto, who was Head of KSP before Qodari.
Yesterday’s inauguration also marked the return of Hasan Nasbi and Abdul Kadir Karding to the government circle.
Hasan was entrusted as Special Presidential Advisor for Communication, while Karding was appointed as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Barantin).
Before being appointed to that position, Hasan was Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). However, he was reshuffled, with his position replaced by Angga Raka, and the agency’s name also changed to the Government Communication Agency.
Meanwhile, Karding, a PKB politician, previously served as Minister of P2MI before being reshuffled in September 2025.
In addition to the four figures mentioned above, there is also a new figure entering the government circle today, namely labour leader Jumhur Hidayat.
Jumhur was appointed as Minister of Environment. He replaces Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, who now has a new task as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food, assisting Zulkifli Hasan as Coordinating Minister.
