6 China-made Chery models to hit KL roads
KUALA LUMPUR: Six models of China's Chery cars will hit Malaysian roads in 2005, local distributor Alado Corp. said in remarks published on Friday.
Alado will launch a road show for the Chery A15 1.6 liter sedan and T11 sports utility vehicle on Jan. 19, and has appointed 50 dealers nationwide to market the vehicles, executive chairman Soh Thiam Hong was quoted as saying by The Star newspaper.
"We will also bring in the Chery A21 sedan, B14 multi-purpose vehicle, S12 mini-car and the P11 sports utility truck by the end of the year," he said.
Soh said Alado had shelved plans to launch the Chery QQ compact car amid an ongoing spat over intellectual property rights with General Motors.
General Motors has claimed that Chery had infringed intellectual property rights with its car which is similar to its own Spark model. -- AFP
