6,812 Personnel Deployed Across 1,647 Locations in Jadetabek to Secure Eid al-Fitr

The Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, announced that 6,812 combined personnel have been deployed for security operations during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijra celebrations. These thousands of personnel will be stationed at 1,647 security locations.

“We wish to inform that the security plan from the Metro Jaya Regional Police headquarters covers 1,647 locations,” said Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri during an inspection of the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal in East Jakarta on Saturday, 14 March 2026.

Security operations will be conducted across the entire jurisdiction of the Metro Jaya Regional Police in Jadetabek (Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi). Inspector General Asep stated that the 1,647 locations consist of 68 security posts, 22 service posts, and 9 posts to monitor the mass exodus traffic. Additionally, there will be 83 posts at economic centres, 4 at terminals, 4 at train stations, 2 at airports and 1 at a port.

“We have also prepared security at 471 banking offices and 164 pawnbroking offices. I have detailed all of these, colleagues. There are also 621 vital facilities, including petrol stations, power distribution centres and Pertamina depots,” he explained.

He stated that security will also be provided at 13 locations for evening Takbir gatherings, 133 locations for Eid prayers and zakat distribution, and 37 pilgrimage sites. He noted that inspections will be conducted at 9 recreational facilities including Ancol, Ragunan Zoo and Taman Mini.

“In this regard, the Metro Jaya Regional Police are deploying 6,812 personnel. This consists of 5,092 National Police personnel, divided into 2,700 from the Regional Police headquarters and 2,392 from district police offices,” said Inspector General Asep.

“Additionally, there are 416 personnel on loan from the Indonesian Military from Jaya Military Command and district military commands. There are also 1,088 personnel on loan from local government agencies, and 216 personnel from community volunteers,” he added.

Inspector General Asep stated that security will also be provided at places of worship, including 10 main mosques and 123 other mosques. Additionally, there will be 68 high-density crowd areas including the National Monument, Bundaran HI, Ocean Park BSD, Aviary Park Bintaro, BXC, Scientia Square Park, and various water parks in Bekasi and Depok.

“For health emergency support, 57 ambulances have been prepared. Additionally, 84 referral hospitals are available throughout the Metro Jaya Regional Police jurisdiction,” he said.

Furthermore, Inspector General Asep stated that flood disaster mapping has been conducted. A total of 106 high-risk areas have been mapped throughout the Metro Jaya Regional Police jurisdiction.

“We have also prepared a total of 523 personnel on standby for emergencies, natural disasters and search and rescue operations, consisting of 210 search and rescue personnel from the Regional Police headquarters and 313 from district police offices. For fire brigade preparedness, we have arranged 148 fire trucks,” he said.

Furthermore, Inspector General Asep urged the public travelling for the exodus to leave their vehicles at the local police station. He also urged the public not to hesitate to contact the emergency hotline 110 if they require police assistance.

“We from the Metro Jaya Regional Police wish to inform and urge all members of the public to have a safe journey during the exodus. May your travels be smooth, may you reach your destination safely and happily,” said Inspector General Asep.

“Please also remember to drive carefully on the roads. If you feel tired, you can stop at rest areas. And please do not forget that if you encounter any situation requiring police assistance, immediately contact emergency hotline 110,” he added.
