6,115 Combined Personnel Deployed to Secure Persib Parade
Bandung – West Java Police on Wednesday announced that 6,115 combined personnel will be deployed to secure Persib Bandung’s victory parade on 23 and 24 May. Persib are expected to clinch the BRI Super League title with at least a point from Persijap in the match at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) on Saturday, 23 May 2026.
Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Hendra Rochmawan, said Bobotoh spectators are predicted to parade at several locations including Jalan Cikapayang, Dago, the Mochtar Kusumaatmadja Overpass and other main roads.
“A total of 6,115 combined personnel are being prepared to secure all activities. The personnel consist of elements from the Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), local government authorities, and other security components,” he said on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
He added that security would be conducted fully to ensure all activities run safely and in a conducive manner. Security will start from supporters’ gathering points to the victory convoy routes.
“All personnel will be positioned according to plotting to anticipate crowd density and potential public order disturbances,” he said.
For security at the GBLA match, he said a total of 2,892 combined personnel have been prepared, comprising 1,997 Police, 160 TNI, 125 personnel from related agencies, and 610 external personnel. In addition to stadium security, authorities have arranged special security for the supporters’ euphoria outside GBLA, particularly in the Dago Cikapayang area, the Pasopati Overpass, Taman Jomblo, and Graha Persib.
Additionally, 644 personnel will be deployed specifically to anticipate mass gatherings and the carnival-like atmosphere of supporters outside the stadium.
“We urge the public and Bobotoh to celebrate the victory in an orderly manner, not to engage in actions that endanger themselves or other road users, and to comply with officers on the ground,” Hendra said.
Police are also preparing traffic management on several main Bandung city roads during the victory convoy. The convoy route is planned to pass through the Gedung Sate area to Jalan Asia Afrika, which is expected to be crowded with thousands of supporters.
Officers will conduct strict checks at several entry points to the stadium or checkpoint locations. Spectators are prohibited from bringing flares, sharp weapons, alcoholic beverages, fireworks, and other dangerous items.
“We hope the community can cooperate in maintaining security and order so that Persib’s victory celebrations can proceed safely, comfortably, and be a source of pride for West Java residents,” he said.
