595,000 Passengers Fly via Bali Airport During Eid 2026 Period
As many as 595,000 passengers flew through Ngurah Rai International Airport in Badung, Bali, during the Eid 2026 period. This figure covers the 10 days of the Eid Transport Command Post operations for 1447 Hijriah, from 13 to 22 March 2026. The number represents a 4% growth compared to the same period last year.
In addition to passenger numbers, aircraft movements also grew by 5% compared to the previous year. The number of aircraft movements at Ngurah Rai Airport during the Eid period reached 3,623 flights. The top three busiest domestic routes were Tangerang (CGK), Surabaya (SUB), and Lombok Praya (LOP). For international routes, they were Singapore (SIN), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), and Perth (PER).
Up to 22 March, Ngurah Rai Airport had also serviced 104 additional flights (extra flights) out of a total of 144 applications. The routes with the most extra flights were Tangerang (CGK), Surabaya (SUB), and Semarang (SRG).
The General Manager (GM) of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali, Nugroho Jati, stated that flight operations and services to users during the Eid Transport Command Post ran optimally.
“We can report that flight operations, airport services, and services to all airport users proceeded smoothly, optimally, and safely,” said Nugroho Jati on Monday (23/2/2026).
The peak arrival movement occurred on Wednesday (18/3/2026) with 71,442 passenger movements and 412 aircraft movements. Meanwhile, the peak return flow is projected for Saturday (28/3/2026).
“We project the peak return movement to occur on Saturday (28/3) with an estimated 73,000 passengers,” Nugroho continued.
Ngurah Rai Airport, in welcoming and celebrating the Eid al-Fitr atmosphere, also presented various activations and thematic events. Additionally, on Saturday (14/3/2026), arriving passengers in Bali received a surprise in the form of hampers that emerged with their baggage. This surprise received positive responses and enthusiasm from the passengers.
Meanwhile, on Friday (20/3/2026), Ngurah Rai Airport presented a thematic event featuring Middle East Dance in the domestic and international terminals.
