A total of 564,000 train tickets have been sold for journeys between 11 March and 1 April 2026 from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station in Central Jakarta.

“As of the update on 1 March 2026, approximately 89,000 seats are available for the pre-Eid exodus period from 11-20 March 2026,” stated Franoto Wibowo, Manager of Public Relations for PT KAI Regional Operations (Daop) 1 Jakarta, speaking in Jakarta on Sunday.

Seat availability for pre-Eid, Eid and post-Eid services on 11 March exceeds 30,000 seats, 12 March exceeds 19,000 seats, 13 March exceeds 12,000 seats, 14 March exceeds 7,000 seats, 15 March exceeds 8,000 seats. On 16 March there are more than 2,000 seats available, 17 March more than 1,000 seats, 18 March more than 500 seats, 19 March more than 1,000 seats and 20 March more than 3,000 seats.

PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta operates a total of 86 long-distance train journeys daily, comprising 68 regular trains, 12 additional trains from Gambir Station and 6 additional trains from Pasar Senen Station.

According to data, some popular trains departing from Gambir Station include train 6 Argo Semeru, train 8 Bima, train 118 Gunungjati, train 7006 Batavia, train 124 Cakrabuana and train 32 Pandalungan.

Meanwhile, from Pasar Senen Station are train 282 Bengawan, train 272 Airlangga, trains 284 and 288 Serayu, train 254 Kertajaya, train 252 Jayakarta and train 258 Progo.

Franoto reminded that there is an economic stimulus from the government in the form of a 30 percent discount for Commercial Economy-class trains valid from 14-29 March 2026 with a total of 1.2 million discounted tickets.

This programme is expected to help the public obtain safe, comfortable, punctual and affordable transport during the Eid period.

For the KAI Daop 1 Jakarta region specifically, the total seats for Commercial Economy-class long-distance trains (14-29 March) stands at 329,000 seats. Total sold or booked is 237,000 seats.

For local Commercial Economy-class Pangrango trains during the same period, 46,000 seats are available. “Total sold or booked is 22,000 seats,” he said.
