PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operations 1 Jakarta has reported positive trends in ticket sales for the 2026 Lebaran holiday transport period. As of early March 2026, 564,000 tickets had been sold for departures from 11 March to 1 April 2026.

  • 16 March: more than 2,000 seats

  • 17 March: more than 1,000 seats

  • 18 March: more than 500 seats

  • 19 March: more than 1,000 seats

  • 20 March: more than 3,000 seats

For the Lebaran period itself, 21 March still has more than 11,000 seats available, and 22 March has more than 16,000 seats. For the return journey (balik) period from 23 March to 1 April 2026, a total of 376,000 seats are available.

Popular destination cities for holiday travellers include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung, Jember, and Purwokerto.
