56,000 MSMEs Graduate via Bank Mandiri's KUR Programme
Bank Mandiri continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as a pillar of the national economy. Coinciding with the commemoration of National MSME Day and in the spirit of welcoming the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the bank, listed under the ticker code BMRI, affirmed its role as a growth partner for business actors through the strengthening of financing ecosystems, digitalisation, and mentoring to encourage more MSMEs to grow and upgrade. The distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR) by Bank Mandiri until July 2026 has reached Rp25.63 trillion to 134,682 new debtors across Indonesia. Amidst the acceleration of distribution, credit quality remains well maintained, reflecting sound risk management and the effectiveness of mentoring provided to business actors. The bank also recorded positive achievements in encouraging MSMEs to develop to the next stage. During January to July 2026, a total of 56,043 debtors successfully graduated or upgraded to a higher financing scheme. Senior Vice President of Micro Development and Agent Banking at Bank Mandiri, Bayu Trisno Arief Setiawan, stated that National MSME Day serves as a momentum to emphasise that the success of MSME empowerment is not only measured by the amount of financing disbursed, but also by the increasing number of business actors who are able to enhance their business capacity, expand their markets, and upgrade. Bank Mandiri believes that MSMEs are the main foundation of the Indonesian economy. Therefore, the bank has built an ecosystem that supports business actors at every stage of growth, from obtaining access to financing and developing businesses through digital solutions, to increasing their business scale. The success of MSMEs in upgrading is seen as a tangible indicator that the empowerment efforts are providing a sustainable impact on the national economy. As a strategic partner of the government, Bank Mandiri continues to support various national priority programmes in strengthening the MSME sector through productive financing distribution, accelerating financial inclusion, and digital transformation. This support is also realised through synergy with ministries, institutions, regional governments, business communities, and various stakeholders to expand market access and improve the competitiveness of business actors. The bank believes that strengthening MSMEs requires a comprehensive approach. As an economic driving ecosystem for the nation, Bank Mandiri continues to integrate financing access, digital transaction services, payment solutions, and mentoring and empowerment programmes so that business actors can grow sustainably. This commitment is further strengthened through Bank Mandiri’s synergy within the Danantara ecosystem, which encourages the optimisation of financing for productive sectors, strengthens national economic resilience, and creates added value for the community. Through this collaboration, Bank Mandiri continues to present solutions that accelerate the growth of MSMEs as one of the driving forces of the Indonesian economy. Going forward, Bank Mandiri will continue to expand collaboration and innovation to accelerate the emergence of more MSMEs that upgrade, become more competitive, and are able to contribute more significantly to job creation and national economic growth.
