55,000 Qurans to Be Distributed in Stages to 3,000 Islamic Schools

A symbolic handover of waqf Qurans was conducted by the Quran Waqf Body (BWA) to the Central Board of Mathla’ul Anwar (PBMA) at the Prime Plaza Hotel in Purwakarta recently. Agus Niamillah, Programme Manager representing the BWA Director, emphasised that the Quran serves as guidance for humanity when carried by those well-versed in it. “We believe Mathla’ul Anwar comprises such experts, so this synergy can achieve the goal of disseminating the Quran as guidance for mankind,” he said in a written statement on Tuesday (23/6/2026).

Through this collaboration, Agus revealed that 55,000 copies of the Quran will be distributed in stages to more than 3,000 madrasas, schools, and higher education institutions under Mathla’ul Anwar’s auspices across various regions in Indonesia. PBMA Chairman Dr. KH. Jazuli Juwaini stated, “Alhamdulillah, there is now a solution for these Qurans. I remind you that these are waqf Qurans, an entrusted responsibility. We must ensure they are properly delivered to the community, especially to our children studying in schools, madrasas, and Islamic boarding schools under Mathla’ul Anwar.”

Jazuli expressed hope that every letter read, memorised, and practised from these Qurans would become a continuous charity, with rewards flowing to the donors until the Day of Judgement. Agus added, “Jazakumullahu khairan to all BWA friends who have entrusted their waqf. May Allah accept every good deed performed and make it a path for the birth of more generations who love the Quran.”
