54 TNI Generals Promoted, Army Receives the Most

Jakarta - A total of 54 senior officers (pati) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) have been promoted. The promotion ceremony was led by TNI Inspector General Laksdya TNI Hersan, representing TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, at the Gatot Subroto Hall, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Monday (16/3/2026). According to a press release from the TNI Information Centre (Puspen), the 54 officers consist of 28 senior officers from the TNI Army, 12 from the TNI Navy, and 14 from the TNI Air Force. Several senior Army officers who received promotions include TNI Lieutenant General Ariyo Windutomo, who serves as Secretary to the President of the Republic of Indonesia; TNI Major General Iwan Bambang Setiawan as Commander of TNI PMPP; TNI Major General Ahmad Fikri Musmar as Commander of the 1st Kostrad Infantry Division; and TNI Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah as Head of TNI Puspen. From the Navy and Air Force, promotions were also received by TNI Captain Dafit Santoso, who serves as Deputy for Legal Information and Cooperation at Bakamla; TNI Captain Sumarji Bimoaji as Commander of Kodaeral XIII; TNI Commander Hadi Prayitno as Head of Staff Experts for Koarmada II; TNI Air Marshal Jatmiko Adi as Assistant for Intelligence to the Air Force Chief of Staff; TNI Air Marshal Esron Sahat B. Sinaga as Assistant for Technical Affairs Level III in Inter-Service and Cyber to the TNI Commander; and TNI Air Vice Marshal Yoyon Kuscahyono as Commander of Sam Ratulangi Air Base. This moment is hoped to strengthen the professionalism, solidarity, and commitment of the TNI in serving the nation and state.
