53,000 Vehicles Return to Jakarta via MBZ Toll Road on H+4 of Eid
JAKARTA – The return flow of Eid traffic heading to Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road section continues to show a significant surge on H+4 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026.
PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 53,189 vehicles passing towards Jakarta on that section on Wednesday (25/3/2026). This figure represents an increase of 140.78% compared to the normal traffic volume of 22,090 vehicles.
Meanwhile, for the opposite direction, leaving Jakarta, the vehicle volume was recorded at 29,502 vehicles, an increase of 35.41% compared to the normal traffic of 21,787 vehicles.
The President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, Hendri Taufik, advised road users to manage their travel times to avoid congestion.
“We urge road users to plan their journeys outside the predicted peak times to avoid return flow congestion by utilising the 30% toll discount on 26 and 27 March 2026 for road users making continuous journeys from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate to the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate,” said Hendri, in an official quote, on Thursday (26/3/2026).
In addition, JJC also reminded road users to prioritise safety during their journeys.
Drivers are asked to ensure their physical condition and vehicles are in prime condition, maintain sufficient battery power or fuel (BBM), and anticipate weather changes.
